[Breaking news! PCR negative certificates in English for entry into Sri Lanka are being abolished in part!]

●The PCR negative certificate in English required for entry into Sri Lanka has been abolished under the following conditions!The Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka has decided to abolish the requirement for PCR or antigen testing before travel for travelers from overseas who have been vaccinated from Tuesday, March 1st.

Those who
have received two doses of the vaccine and more than two weeks have passed since vaccination
Bring a vaccination certificate in English

* Those under 18 years of age have received one dose of the vaccine within two weeks before the date of travel

The following people will still be required to submit a negative certificate in English for a PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure. Those who
have been infected with COVID-19 more than six months before entering Sri Lanka and have only received one dose of the vaccine, and those
who have not been vaccinated

●Please note that the following pre-entry procedures are still in place.

Take out COVID-19 insurance (USD12)
Apply for and get approved for ETA (online visa)
Submit a health observation form online on the day of your outbound flight.

*At the airport, 24-hour monitoring is conducted with temperature screening, etc., and all entrants to Sri Lanka are required to submit a health declaration form upon entry, including their health status, travel history, and their destination and contact information in Sri Lanka.
*If any problems are found with the temperature check or health declaration, entry may be denied or a two-week quarantine may be required at a designated facility
. *Travelers are requested to monitor their own health condition after entering the country and to immediately see a doctor if they have any symptoms.

Important [Requirements for Certificate of Testing for Entering Japan]

Currently, in Japan, all entrants to Japan, including Japanese returning nationals, are required to submit a pre-departure test certificate (test taken within 72 hours of boarding), but since April 19th, the confirmation of test certificates at quarantine has become even stricter .

Accordingly, in order to avoid trouble and confusion regarding the validity of test certificates at the boarding procedures when departing Sri Lanka and at quarantine when entering Japan, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is calling for people to obtain test certificates using the format designated by the Ministry .

* If the required items are not filled in or even one item is missing, boarding will be denied or entry will not be permitted under the Quarantine Act .

Currently, all those who enter, re-enter or return to Japan (including Japanese nationals) are requested to submit a certificate of negative test result of pre-entry COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours prior to departing from the country/region where travelers stay when entering Japan. Egypt: Suspension of Narita-Cairo flights extended until September 30

EgyptAir has announced that it will extend the suspension of its Narita-Cairo flights as part of its COVID-19 countermeasures.

MS964 (Cairo-Narita)
MS965 (Narita-Cairo)

●Suspension period:
Until September 30, 2020

EgyptAir announces extension of Cairo-Narita flight suspension

EgyptAir announced that it would suspend flights until the end of April due to the spread of the new coronavirus, but has now announced that it will continue to suspend flights until the end of July.

SriLankan Airlines baggage fees

Charges for baggage over 200cm

Starting September 20th, excess baggage fees will be charged when the sum of length, width, and height exceeds 200cm.

Applicable passengers and flights: All passengers, all flights
Applicable size: Luggage exceeding length + width + height = 200cm
Excess baggage fee: USD.50 per piece

[Notes]
◆For the following luggage, even if the sum of the three sides exceeds 200cm, excess baggage fees will not be charged.
However, if the weight limit is exceeded as before, excess baggage fees will be charged.  ◆  There may be separate restrictions and regulations depending on the contents of the luggage such as
golf bags, snow ski equipment, diving equipment, surfing equipment, and bicycles . ◆Even if the luggage is within the regulations, we may not be able to accept it depending on the contents and equipment of the luggage. ◆The fee may change due to fluctuations in the exchange rate. ◆If the weight and size exceed the limit, excess baggage fees for both will be charged.
