| A time-honored and highly effective approach to wellness rooted in preventive medicine.

Ayurveda is the traditional healing system of Sri Lanka, originating in ancient India over 5,000 years ago. The term is derived from the Sanskrit words “Ayus” (meaning life or longevity) and “Veda” (meaning science or knowledge), together signifying the “science of life.” The core principle is that illness occurs when the balance of the three vital energies or doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—is disrupted.

The goal of Ayurveda is to restore harmony among these energies to achieve optimal health. Set in a serene and calming environment, this ancient system of preventive medicine helps to relieve daily stress, detoxify the body, and rejuvenate both body and mind.

This facility is popular among local Sri Lankans and recommended by our Sri Lankan representative. With a long history as an Ayurvedic product company, its expertise in Ayurveda, demonstrated through a range of products, sets it apart from other resorts. Sri Lankans in Colombo also visit Siddhalepa annually for treatments. While the dietary regimen is relaxed, the main highlights are the experienced doctors and the extensive variety of Ayurvedic oils.
